Model-Based Body Controller Software Development: Transforming Customer Expectations into Virtual Reality
Blake Kashiwagi, Daimler Trucks North America LLC
Model-based software development (MBSD) has many benefits for feature development in commercial vehicles. Reductions in global development costs and resources, improved feature quality, and faster time to market are some of the benefits resulting from model-based development. This presentation shows how the customer’s user experience is translated and transformed into virtual features and functions via Simulink® models. These models are modular, portable, and leveraged on different vehicle platforms globally. OEM engineers and stakeholders can evaluate virtual features prior to software implementation in production.
