Design and Analyze a Quadcopter with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Overview
Systems engineering deals with the design of complex products and management of the design process. Model-based systems engineering, along with model-based design, help manage the complexity and bring quantitative rigor to the field of systems engineering. This demonstration will showcase an end-to-end workflow for building a Quadcopter using MathWorks tools for requirements engineering, system architecting, design implementation, and requirements verification.
Highlights
- Create and manage system requirements
- Develop system architecture and establish digital thread using System Composer
- Assemble design components and use simulation to validate requirements and/or verify system level requirements
- Generate custom views to manage complexity of architecture models
- Conduct static trade studies using MATLAB to aid in architectural decision making
- Coexist with current and future SysML ecosystems
Please allow approximately 45 minutes to attend the presentation and Q&A session. We will be recording this webinar, so if you can't make it for the live broadcast, register and we will send you a link to watch it on-demand.
About the Presenter
Cori Harber is an Application Engineer at MathWorks specializing in Systems Engineering and Verification & Validation.
Cori spent her first 3 years at MathWorks in the Engineering Development Group, where she supported Physical Modeling and Verification & Validation products as part of the Technical Support Team. Cori joined the Application Engineering Group in 2023 to support MathWorks’ aerospace customers.
She graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, where she used MathWorks tools to research low-level controllers for an assistive exoskeleton.
