Overview
In this session, we will show how to more efficiently test control algorithms with realistic, requirements-based system-level inputs, rather than just using idealized input signals – i.e., steps, sine waves, etc. Both MATLAB and Simulink provide tools for increasing the fidelity level of your controller inputs and feedback signals, from automatic trajectory generators to high-fidelity sensor models and state estimators. Together, these capabilities can help controls engineers uncover robustness and integration issues earlier, improving confidence in real-world performance and reducing later-stage rework.
Highlights
- Create test scenarios to validate controller performance against requirements
- Generate complex trajectories and maneuvers from planned paths and waypoints
- Run a variety of test-suites efficiently and automatically
- Include sensor models and state estimators for more realistic controller feedback
- Leverage cuboid and photo-realistic graphics for easier maneuver visualizations
