10 Aug 2023	Medical imaging workflows with MATLAB Spandhana Gonuguntla, MathWorks Spandhana Gonuguntla MathWorks Spandhana Gonuguntla is a Senior Customer Success Engineer at MathWorks India. She works with faculty and researchers in India to enable the effective use of MATLAB and Simulink in their curriculum and research. She specializes in data analytics, mathematical modeling, machine Learning, and deep learning. She has a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal. Her focus during her Ph.D. was designing novel smart-actuating systems with smart polymers. She has also contributed as an application scientist developing and standardizing assays for Tip Biosystems - a startup company based out of Singapore. Sammit Jain, MathWorks Sammit Jain MathWorks Sammit Jain is an AI application engineer at MathWorks. He works closely with engineers and scientists focusing on AI development and deployment. He likes combining his experience in software development, machine learning/deep learning, IPCV, and NLP to solve complex multidisciplinary problems across industries like medical devices and industrial automation. Prior to joining MathWorks, he worked on bioimage analysis and spine segmentation as a research fellow at Institut Pasteur, Paris. 17 Aug 2023	Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) applied to Medical Device Development Gaurav Dubey, MathWorks Gaurav Dubey MathWorks Gaurav Dubey is a consulting application engineer at MathWorks India and specializes in Model-Based Design and model-based system engineering workflows, digital transformation, and certifications for safety-critical applications. Gaurav works closely with engineers across industries to help them use MATLAB and Simulink for Model-Based Design and model-based system engineering. Gaurav brings more than 19 years of experience in embedded system development for automotive and aerospace applications. Prior to joining MathWorks, Gaurav worked for Tata Motors Limited and Tata Consultancy Services on embedded control system development using Model-Based Design. Gaurav holds a master’s degree in instrumentation engineering and a master’s degree in electronics and communications. Vamshi Kumbham, MathWorks Vamshi Kumbham MathWorks Vamshi Kumbham is a senior application engineer at MathWorks India specializing in modeling, simulation, automatic code generation, and verification and validation. He works closely with customers across domains to help them use MATLAB and Simulink in their workflows. He has over 12 years of industry experience in design and development of software applications in the automotive domain. He has been a part of complete life cycle of automotive projects. Before joining MathWorks, Vamshi worked for Bosch as a senior software engineer and for Hyundai Motor India Engineering as assistant manager. 24 Aug 2023	Explainable and Interpretable AI for medical device certification Akhilesh Mishra, MathWorks Akhilesh Mishra MathWorks Akhilesh Mishra is a senior application engineer at MathWorks. He specializes in signal/data processing, artificial intelligence, and GPU computing workflows. He has been with MathWorks since 2016. He was also the signal processing lead in a group at the University of Kansas working on radar and sonar systems for sounding the ice sheets of Greenland and Antarctica to study global sea-level rise. Akhilesh holds an M.S. degree from the University of Kansas. Jayanth Balaji Avanashilingam, MathWorks Jayanth Balaji Avanashilingam MathWorks Jayanth Balaji Avanashilingam works as a senior application engineer at MathWorks in the area of artificial intelligence. He primarily focuses on data analytics for the application of time-series data. Jayanth has 8 years of research and industrial experience developing AI/machine learning/deep learning solutions for application areas like retail optimization, computer vision, and natural language processing.
