MathWorks sponsort het robottoernooi “RoboCup International Robot Dutch Open 2012”. Dit door de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven geinitieerd toernooi brengt studententeams van basisscholen en middelbare scholen uit de hele wereld bij elkaar. De uitdaging is om robots te ontwikkelen en te bouwen die met elkaar de strijd aangaan in een voetbalwedstrijd en die diverse huishoudelijke taken kunnen uitvoeren.
Educatieve programma’s zoals RoboCup helpen leerlingen en studenten begrijpen hoe de geleerde theorie toegepast kan worden op echte problemen en uitdagingen in de praktijk. MathWorks ondersteunt de RoboCup Dutch Open competitie met als doel leerlingen en studenten uit de hele wereld te stimuleren praktische ervaring op te doen met tools die door de high-tech industriëen gebruikt worden. MathWorks zal als onderdeel van deze sponsoring deelnemen aan de Techniekbeurs op 25 en 26 april. Bezoekers aan de MathWorks stand kunnen live demonstraties zien van modelgebaseerd ontwikkelen op embedded platformen, waaronder de Tilted Twister robot die een kubus oplost.
