Configure Display for VGA Playback

Every PC laptop or desktop machine supports standard VGA format (640x480). However, since Windows® 7, it is not listed in the default Windows Screen Resolution menu.

To enable VGA resolution in Windows 7:

  • Open the Display > Screen Resolution menu.

  • Click the Advanced settings link at the bottom-right.

  • On the Adapter tab, click List All Modes.

  • Select 640 by 480, True Color (32 bit), 60 Hertz from the list.

  • Press OK to save your changes and exit out of each menu.

To enable VGA resolution in Windows 10:

  • Open the Display Settings menu, then click Advanced display settings.

  • Click the Display adapter properties link at the bottom.

  • On the Adapter tab, click List All Modes.

  • Select 640 by 480, True Color (32 bit), 60 Hertz from the list.

  • Press OK to save your changes and exit out of each menu.
