Which is better between Expected Maximization (EM) and Fuzzy C mean (FCM)?

I know that each algorithm will has advantage in special image. But both EM and FCM are clustering algorithm. For brain segmentation task, which is better between EM and FCM. Which is case? Could you show some reference paper?Thank you
