Hi! I am working with the R2013b Statistics toolbox of Matlab, especially using it for linear and non-linear regression. In the internet there is a lot of documenation, but I was wondering what is new in this version of the toolbox and which advantages do I have compared to previous versions? Also I am not quite sure why some tutorials are using long code to get a basic linear regression. One can easily use the curve fitting tool? might it be the reason that these user do not have a statistics toolbox?
Thank you for your help!

The Statistics Toolbox Release Notes should tell you a lot about what has been released in the Statistic Toolbox over time.

To find out what’s new in your version of the Statistics Toolbox (or anything else in MATLAB), click on the Help icon above the Command Window:
Then open the Statistics Toolbox documentation and click on the ‘Release Notes’ tab.
