Unable to activate your machine

I tried to activate my matlab2012b and after I inputed my login name(I make sure it should be what since I tired it with my matlab2020a and it worked), error 1714 showed “Unable to activate your machine. The activation process cannot detect a valid Host ID which utilizes a currently supported naming convention. Please refer to the following solution ID, to help resolve this issue: 1-661QJD”, please let me know what should I do to activate it.. thanks a lot in advance

Well I'd do what it says : "refer to the following solution ID, to help resolve this issue: 1-661QJD”.

What happened when you did that?

If that failed, then CALL them TODAY. If you insist on hoping to get an answer here in Answers forum, you may not get one and be shut out the entire weekend. That's why it's important to call them NOW while the Mathworks is in the office.
