(solved) Why can't I generate an audio plugin from the StereoWidth example?

6 views (last 30 days)
Hello,
I am trying to follow along with the example shown here: https://www.mathworks.com/help/audio/gs/design-an-audio-plugin.html
When attempting to:
>> generateAudioPlugin StereoWidth
My command window displays:
..Warning: Selected C compiler is incompatible with C99 (ISO)
language standard. Code generation will switch to C89/90 (ANSI)
instead. Consider changing C compiler or target language setting
to suppress this warning.
??? The specified code generation target is configured to
generate C++, but the C-only compiler, LCC, is the default
compiler. To allow code generation, you can deselect the
'Generate makefile' option. Or, to specify a C++ compiler, enter
'mex -setup' at the command prompt. To generate C code, set the
target language to C in the configuration object.
I have tried:
>> mex -setup c++
MEX configured to use 'MinGW64 Compiler (C++)' for C++ language compilation.
However, I haven't gotten anywhere... Can someone help me to get this example to work?

I figured out this question. I just needed to instal Visual Studio 2017 with its tools and a specific version of the Windows 10 SDK.

I see you found a solution. Just for reference, here is a list of supported compilers for Audio and other toolboxes (there is a link on the top right to check for older version of MATLAB as well)
