Installation file detected as a trojan

24 views (last 30 days)
Windows Security is detecting/quarantining MathWorks\R2022b\Matlab\Matlab\archives\3p\cuda_win64_1652483342.enc from the installer. It detects it as Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml
I'm running Windows 11 Insider Preview Enterprise 22H2 build 25314.1010. Can you tell me if this is a false positive?

The official installer contains no malware or viruses.
I suggest reporting this to customer support. You can also try submitting the file to your AV service as a potential false positive.

If you are using Defender, please try updating your definitions and then try installing again.

Thank you, I can confirm I was able to install R2023a without Windows detecting any issues.
