Output video file name to Excel with other data from process results

I am using the Image Processing Toolbox and read in a video that I process. As my process progresses through the frames, it stores key data about specific frames into a matrix.

At the conclusion of the process, I write data into an Excel file.

I want to put the video file name in a column in the Excel file. The .Name property is a character string.

I thought I could just append the name value to a new column in my matrix and then use writematrix to create the Excel file. But, I don't know how to get a character string into a column in a matrix.

Help will be greatly appreciated.

In order to put text into the same array as numeric data and use writematrix() to write it all out... then you will need to convert the numeric part to text.

I would suggest that you instead consider using table() objects and use writetable(),
