What does InstallForMacOSX.app contain inside?

Hi,
I was wondering what are the contents of InstallForMacOSX.app? Does it contain the entire MATLAB which I would assume not given the size of the installer? Or is it just a wrapper app for downloading everything from online after user login happens? Does it just contain the code of UI for login info?
If downloading of each component happens from online, how does MATLAB.app gets to the system Applications? How does update or adding another new toolbox work in that case?
