How to enable autocomplete in the editor (not tab complete or live editor)?

The newest version of MATLAB online seems to do a bit of the classical autocomplete found in many IDEs. For example:
So far, I haven't been able to find a comparable setting that enables this for the Windows version of MATLAB. Yes, I can tab autocomplete on the terminal, but this is your generic auto-complete while coding in the editor Window. Yes, I can also use the live editor, but I'm not. Probably a dumb question, but I just can't seem to find a way to enable this.

Currently I'm just using 'tab' to get predictions and then select one of these

I have set preferences to prevent tab completeion (and completion of any 'pairs'), but Mathworks ignores this preference and insists on tab completion in the editor. What a nuisance!
