download all files in a directory with some conditions

Suppose a website http://www.abc.com/xml has files of the form a01.xml, a02.xml,....,b01.xml, b02.xml,.... c01.xml, c02.xml,.... Suppose I want to download all files starting from a letter "b". Please advise.

Insufficient information about what the download process for them would be, or how one might be able to discover the names of the files they have available.

2. Names of files are avaiable by looking at directories of the website (not password protected).

For #2, do you mean that there is an index.html that lists all of the directories, and then you can query each of the directories to get an index.html file that lists all of the .xml files?

Or... is this possibly an ftp: URL instead of an http: URL ?
