What represents the Y-axis in matlab's histogram?

The X-axis represents the units, that is, X-axis: 100, 100 units
but Y-axis, what represents?
whats is "9000?" ?

It depends what type of 'Normalization' you've requested the histogram to use. The default is 'count' in which case the Y axis values represent the number of elements in the data being binned that falls into each bin. For a list of the other possible values, see the histogram documentation (specifically the description of the Normalization property and the "Histogram with Specified Normalization" example.)
