1, Given the following parameters,
Tp = 22 sec, Kp= 100, R = 2.5, Ts = 100 msec, T TG = 0.5 sec and Ks = KTG=1.
Obtain
a) The frequency error. Plot it when a step load disturbance of 5% occurs in the system using matlab coding .
b) Construct the SIMULINK block diagram and obtain the frequency deviation response.
c) Set integral gain to 20 and obtain the frequency deviation response and compare both the responses.
d) Set your own PID gains and obtain the frequency deviation response using PID control response and compare both the responses.
2, Solve Economic dispatch problem for a power system given below using your own MATLAB code.
Case A:
Consider all the units ( 5) are thermal power plants and neglect power loss.
Case B:
Consider all the units ( 5 units) are thermal power plants and also power loss.
Case C:
Consider unit 1 and unit 2 are thermal power plants and the third unit is hydro power plant, and neglect power loss.
Case D:
Consider unit 1 and unit 2 are thermal power plants and the third unit is hydro power plant, and consider power loss.
Note: Regarding the transmission loss consider quadratic function taking the generating values as variable.
