Hi , thanks for sharing the reference . I have written the equations in latex,but I am not understanding how can I print them in matlab. basically I want to write a question and print it in matlab and these 2 equations are part of that question.

When I tried using fprintf and sprint f to print they didnt produce the required output.

The sprintf fucntion (and related functions) require that the backslant be ‘escaped’ with a preceeding backslant in order to print it. In the formatSpec section of the documentation, scroll down to Text Before or After Formatting Operators for a list of it and others.

So replacing:

\prod_{1}

with:

\\prod_{1}

should do what you want.

In order to print it the way you want, you either have to use the Live Editor or the LaTeX interpreter.

Clicking on the in the toolstrip here and pasting that string (without the single quotes) will also print it:
