The VI-grade product line features templates and methods for the modeling and simulation of vehicle multibody systems through dynamic events, including the effects of controls, hydraulics, flexibility, contacts, and nonlinear behavior. Methods and templates have been developed with industry partners for modeling sportscars and racecars; military and commercial aircraft, especially landing gear and components; rail cars; motorcycles; and other vehicles.

Template-based products (VI-SportsCar, VI-Aircraft, VI-Rail, and VI-Motorcycle) work with Simulink and Simulink Coder via the Adams/Controls interface to enable combined multibody and controls simulations in cosimulation or embedded modes. VI-CarRealTime works as a real-time automotive ride and handling blockset within Simulink or Simulink Coder for HIL/SIL simulations.
