Sumix is an industrial camera manufacturer based in Oceanside, California. With more than 10 years of experience in the camera business, Sumix has become a worldwide supplier of imaging solutions for industrial and scientific applications, including: machine vision, microscopy, astrophotography, medical imaging, surveillance, and security. Sumix offers USB 2.0 cameras and ultra-compact and lightweight USB 3.0 cameras, from 1.3 to 5 megapixels. The Sumix camera software package includes MATLAB^® connectivity, which enables users to control camera functions and acquire video data directly into the MATLAB environment for analysis and research. First, a MEX file provides an extension of the MATLAB command set. In addition, a MATLAB driver for Sumix cameras provides an Image Acquisition Toolbox™ adapter. This adapter provides access to all the features of Sumix’s cameras from MATLAB, with a consistent interface to all supported devices.
