Balancing Model Fidelity and Simulation Speed
Nonlinearities and switching effects are added to Simscape Electrical™ models to assess their effect on a design. An ideal controller developed in Simulink® is replaced with an analog circuit implementation to see if it maintains the same performance. An abstract model of power electronic switching is added to the model to see its effect on the torque produced by the motor. A transistor-level model of the motor driver circuit is also shown.
