Measuring Return on Investment of Model-Based Design
Incorporating metrics from Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Constructive Cost Model (COCOMO), and industry experience, the Model-Based Design Return on Investment (MBD ROI) framework provides a method to quantify savings from Model-Based Design. The output of the framework is savings gained each development phase - requirement, design, implementation and test. Understanding the relative cost and savings of each development phase provides a strategic roadmap to adopting Model-Based Design to meet your business challenges.
