PCIe 5.0 IBIS-AMI Model Generation in MATLAB
Create an industry-compliant PCIe® 5.0 IBIS-AMI model for use with any third-party EDA tool or with Signal Integrity Toolbox™ using the SerDes Designer app. The app is an interactive tool that assists SerDes designers and IBIS-AMI modelers with the floor planning of the SerDes and the creation of IBIS-AMI models. The app enables engineers to quickly determine the types and amounts of equalization needed to overcome channel impairments.
Placing an FFE in the transmitter and a CTLE and DFE in the receiver, one can create a PCIe 5.0 SerDes model based on the PCIe 5.0 specification. Using the SerDes Designer app, one can perform fast statistical analyses or move the system to Simulink® and perform accurate time-domain analyses. When satisfied, export an industry-compliant PCIe 5.0 IBIS-AMI model for use by others or move to Signal Integrity Toolbox for deeper regression analysis.
