Solar Impulse Continues Round-the-World Solar Flight
Solar Impulse is the only airplane of perpetual endurance, able to fly day and night on solar power, without a drop of fuel. The challenge is to continue the First Round-the-World Solar Flight in 2016—a way for Bertrand Piccard, André Borschberg, and their team to demonstrate how pioneering spirit, innovation, and clean technologies can change the world.
This presentation summarizes the benefits of applying MATLAB® and Simulink® design flows for reducing development time and finding and eliminating problems earlier and faster, with emphasis on flight performance, stability, control, testing, and verification to meet the team’s ambitious objectives.
