Computational Economics

Computational Economics

Written for undergraduate and graduate economic students and professional economists, this book demonstrates how to conceptualize economic problems, write them as mathematical models, and represent them in software such as MATLAB so the problems can be solved on the computer. Topics covered include macroeconomics, microeconomics, and finance.

MATLAB is introduced and used to solve numerous examples in the book. Optimization Toolbox and Global Optimization Toolbox are also briefly introduced. In addition, a companion set of MATLAB M-files is available for download.
