Configure Driver for Oscilloscope

To configure and verify the driver for the oscilloscope, use the following steps.

1. Choose whether you are configuring detected hardware or a new oscilloscope connection.

   • If you are configuring a new oscilloscope, select the communication Interface, enter the Resource string, and click Verify Resource to confirm the connection.

   • If you are configuring a detected oscilloscope, the app pre-populates the device information.

2. Click Verify Driver to check whether a compatible driver is already installed. If the app populates the Driver parameter with a matching driver name, proceed to step 9.

3. If the Driver parameter remains empty, you must install a driver. Click Install Driver to open the IVI Foundation Driver Registry website.

4. On the IVI Foundation website, select the Instrument Class as IviScope.

5. Select a Driver Type of IVI-C and IVI-COM/IVI-C.

6. In the Keywords text box, type the model number specified in the Model parameter in the Oscilloscope Explorer, and search.

7. In the list of Supported Models, click your oscilloscope model, and follow the on-screen instructions for installation.

   If your oscilloscope model is not in the list of supported models, search the web to find and install the correct driver.

8. Click Verify Driver to confirm the driver installed successfully.

9. Click Confirm Parameters to connect with the oscilloscope. If the connection is successful, the app displays the Explorer tab that provides controls for the oscilloscope settings, operations, functions, and results.

   Click Cancel at any time to return to the app home page.
