NavIC/IRNSS Navigation Data (RINEX v4)

For RINEX version 4 files, NavIC/IRNSS navigation data is organized by navigation message type. Each navigation message type may provide ephemeris data, system time offset parameters, Earth orientation parameters, and ionospheric model data, depending on the message.

NavIC/IRNSS navigation messages are returned within the output structure data.NavIC and are grouped by navigation message type.

These NavIC/IRNSS navigation message types are supported:

  • data.NavIC.LNAV — Legacy Navigation (LNAV) messages.

  • data.NavIC.L1NV — L1 navigation messages transmitted on the L1 signal.

Each navigation message type may include one or more of these message categories:

  • Ephemeris navigation messages (EPH), which provide satellite orbit and clock parameters.

  • System time offset messages (STO), which provide parameters for transforming between time systems.

  • Earth orientation parameters messages (EOP), which provide corrections related to Earth rotation.

  • Ionospheric model messages (ION), which provide parameters for ionospheric delay correction.

Not all message types provide all categories. Only the categories listed below with links are available for each message type.
