Matlab 2021 crashes when trying to open a flile with file explorer. How to solve?

I could not even try to open a file, it crashed instantly as file explorer opened.I was trying to open a fig file within GUIDE. But this also occurs when I simply select and open an m file. This occurs randomly but usually soon after I open matlab.
