Dear fellow MATLAB users,
I during my graduation project prepared a .fig file (GUI) and corresponding .m file and it worked very well. After years and having an updated version of MATLAB, when I try to run the same files, I recieve the following error:
Dot indexing is not supported for variables of this type
Kindly help me.
I think there is an issue because of version change.

Did the problem start strictly with the new version? It's not uncommon to have a gui (particularly a GUIDE gui) break in a new version, depending on what all transpired in the process.
Attach the relevant files so that we can try to troubleshoot.

The most common cause of this difficulty is that some value is now being returned as an empty array when you are expecting a struct of some sort.
