It's possible to calculate correlation coeficient (corrcoef) to a matrix non-square, e.g. (6X4)?

Yes.
>> r = corrcoef(rand(6,4))
Each of the 6 rows is an observation of 4 variables, and "r" will be the correlation matrix of those 4 variables.
