I wish to purchase a license

I wish to purchase a new license to use Mathlab as a private. Do you have any suggestions for using the software in a research environment without being charged too much?

Note that the Student license and Home license cannot be used in a research environment.

Educational licenses can be used in some research environments, but only if the environment is run by an educational institution and is non-profit.

Is some cases people are eligible to use the relatively new StartUp license: it can be used in for-profit research environments.

For full working software you need the full-price Standard license along with all of the toolboxes.

People who are using MATLAB strictly for their own personal projects not to benefit any organization can purchase the Home license. The toolboxes available for the Home license are relatively limited (no compiler for example)

If you would not be doing (whatever) with the Home license if you were not being paid, then it is the wrong license.

I am reviewing the Python programming, the SPSS and I wish to have a full version (with the compiler) of the Matlab. How much is it? (Full Standard License). I am not paid for it (at least, not yet, before achieving a fellowship).

You can call them and ask. It depends on how many toolboxes you want to get, and what those toolboxes are since they have different prices. By the way, today through Sunday are holidays in the US.

You can select Annual or Perpetual license.

The online store does not provide pricing for MATLAB Compiler or MATLAB Coder, both of which are relatively expensive.

MATLAB is roughly $US2350

MATLAB Compiler is (if I recall correctly) roughly $US4000

MATLAB Coder is (if I recall correctly) roughly $US6000

Note: "MATLAB Compiler" is not a tool to speed up execution of MATLAB. MATLAB Compiler is a tool for bundling some .m code together into a .exe with the .exe using the same execution engine that MATLAB uses to execute the code. It is not an optimizer, it is a tool to take a MATLAB program you have written and make your code available to people who do not have a MATLAB license.

Most people do not need MATLAB Compiler -- only people who want to distribute their programs to other people without a license.
