Is English version of Matlab/Simulink fully compatible with Japanese system?

Hello, I bought my MacBook Pro in Japan. It is running Japanese OS (both Mac OS and Windows 7). If I buy the student version of Matlab & Simulink and toolboxes in North America, will there be compatibility issue under Mac OS and Windows 7? Will the user interface be English or converted to Japanese automatically?
