how to detect eye and lip movements by comparing two images of a person

plz can any one help me know how to detect eye and lip movement by comparing two image of a person..
i m doing a project on patient monitoring system for detecting patient's eye and lip movements...so plz some help me or guide me how to solve this problem .

For starters, why don't you just try subtracting the images? You can get fancier by trying to find the faces in the image and then further narrow down the ROI to only where the eyes and lips are.

sir i hav some how managed to detect the face,,,now i hav a new problem that is while comparing two image by subtract is taking even a lighting change as difference.... so can plz suggest me any technique to avoid this problem while comparing the image...
