Saving Figure as a jpg/tiff generates a corrupted image (2016b, Win10 Pro)

Please see image of corrupted figure after saving: Has anyone encountered this problem? Is there any fix/work around for this issue?

Multiple saves of the same figure generates smaller and more corrupted images.

Can you try saving the figure using 'savefig' or 'saveas' command?
