How to interactively plot shapes and lines, like in paint.

I'm creating a GUI through App Designer. The GUI should provide users with the functionallity to plot lines and shapes on the axes interactively, as one would do in Microsoft paint - selecting the shape and dragging it into form using a cross hair. I've been looking at options do do this, however the best I've found is ROI based but does not plot the shapes interactively.
