How to create a GUI in order to change the variables and parameters of a .m file?

Hello,

I have a .m file and I would like to create a GUI, which will have the interface of changing some variables or parameter values that are contained in that .m file. That means I will change it in GUI & it will be automatically changed in the .m file where these are located.

I know the basic stuffs of GUI, but do not know how to associate it with a different .m file.

You want to write your new variable INTO the .m file? Why not writing it on file and read in that file in the .m file?
