How to use a combination of dedicated and floating licenses

we have some developers with dedicated licenses on their computers. They have about 5-6 mathworks licenses for their own computer (matlab, simulink, matlab coder, simulink coder, stateflow). Once in a while they want to use something that they don’t have a dedicated license for (such as report generator or v&v). how can they set up their computer to automatically use their local license for the items they have local licenses for, and network licenses for other features that they don’t?

See my answer on this post. http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/11724-can-group-licenses-and-concurrent-licenses-be-used-together
Put stand-alone license info into "license.dat" and network license info into "license.lic".
