- Write a script which calls the executable of the program/application to install.
- Next in the same script you can write the code to change the shortcut location or path.
Run Function on Deployed Application Install

Is there a way to have a function run immediately upon install of a compiled/deployed application? Essentially I want to change the start menu shortcut location from C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\<APPNAME> to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\<FOLDER>\<APPNAME>.
I have several applications that I distribute and I'd like them all to appear in the same folder in the Start Menu.

Hi Brian,
A possible way to trigger certain script or function on installation of an application is by writing a script to do the installation of application itself.
You can refer these steps->
