How to change the size using imshow?

I have an image data which is 512x256 and I want to display that image data using imshow and set the parent property to an axes I have created which is 300x300. The problem is when I display the image data the result image shows on the axes is smaller. Is there any method to solve this problems?

imshow will fit the image to the axes. If you don't want that, then use a scrollpanel. See attached demo.

figure, imshow(x);
