Hi there!
I'm trying to simulate a three-phase inverter made up of IGBTs and I'd like to have the thermal port of the latter available. I have seen that the Converter block allows you to select the type of switching device and I know that for IGBTs (link) there is the possibility to see the thermal port.
I was wondering if I could see the temperature directly from the converter block or if I had to recreate the inverter "by hand" using the individual IGBTs.
Thank you.

Hello Riccardo,
unfortunately that block doesn't have a way to expose the individual IGBT's with thermal effects. As you suspect, to get the more granular information, you'll need to build something by hand. However, this example may provide a lot of what you are looking for as it's doing something very similar. Hopefully you can reuse some of this model instead of building everything from scratch: https://www.mathworks.com/help/physmod/sps/ug/three-phase-high-power-converter-design-and-analysis-workflow.html

Joel
