Hello,
i'm trying to use a java 11 .jar file in my application. As far as i know Matlab can only run Java 8 .jar files.
Is there a way to work around this?
Thanks for your help in advance!

You can use following java compiler (javac) option:
--release <release>
Compile for a specific VM version. Supported targets: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
which generate JAR file for specific JAVA version (release).
But I don't know what to do in case you want to run Java 8 compiled JAR file on future versions of MATLAB with JAVA 11 internal engine. TMW does not presents any road-map for internal java engine regarding future MATLAB releases.
