Installation problem of 2011a student version on 11.10 ubuntu

1 view (last 30 days)
Hello,
I'm trying to install the 2011a student version of matlab on a 64 bits system using Ubuntu Oeneric (unstable version until tomorrow). I succeed in this process on Natty so I tried the same tricks. But I am getting a new error Message :
eval: 1: /tmp/mathworks_2334/java/jre/glnx86/jre/bin/java : not found
Anybody knows how to fix that? Thanks a lot

Yep But on linux system, it's possible ton install the 32bits version. In my case, the installation of the pack "ia32-libs" fixed the problem. So :
apt-get install ia32-libs

I already had that package installed, still getting the "not found" error related to Java. When I execute java -version, this is what I get
java version "1.6.0_30"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_30-b12)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.5-b03, mixed mode)
Does that look ok?

There is no official 2011a 64 bit student version for any operating system.
