Simulink becoming unresponsive when zooming in/out, entering/exiting subsystems, inserting blocks, etc.

While I'm working normally in Simulink, editing a model, exploring the canvas, and so on, at a certain point, Simulink freezes and stops responding.
The Simulink window says "Not Responding" and stays that way for an indeterminate amount of time, preventing me from working altogether.
Unfortunately, it continues to happen more and more often (10x a day or more), to the point where it is unacceptable.
I already tried reinstalling MATLAB, but it keeps happening.

These sorts of issues are most commonly caused by antivirus software.
So, you can try to temporarily disable your antivirus to see if the issue goes away. If it doesn't, then you can add MATLAB to your antivirus “whitelist” to resolve the issue.
