The AMT Controller plays a pivotal role in the automated manual transmission system by generating control signals crucial for the operation of the entire transmission. It determines the gear selection through its GearReq output and manages clutch engagement via the Clutch output, among other functions that influence the system's behaviour. The Disc Clutch component, which interfaces with the AMT Controller, receives clutch pressure information and provides feedback on brake torque and speed when engaged, and friction torque and speed during slip, facilitated by a bidirectional Info port for efficient communication. Similarly, the Ideal Fixed Gear Transmission block receives the selected gear from the AMT Controller and simulates engine and differential torque and speed, also utilizing an Info port for data exchange.
