Who owns the copyright of the code?

Hi.
So im working in a industry and the company is paying for the license and im the one using it and making programs on demand for various tasks. I was curious if the code/programs i make is owned by me or the company. Im not sure if my contract is saying anything about it since im still in a apprenticeship soooo i dont think its going to say anything about it.
I will update this post once i get to ask my boss and look at the contract, but i was curious if someone has had a similar experience. Usually when you write code its yours, but since this is for a company it probably will be different.

This will surely differ from country to country. Ask your trade union.
In Sweden it is (at least used to be) so that if the company business is to sell software or software-derived products they own the code you write, otherwise the company owns the right to use and develop the software, but you as a writer of the software owns the copyright and have the right to develop and use it further as you see fit.
