Is it possible to run Simulink simulation without saving reference model changes?

In some old MATLAB versions (I've tested on MATLAB 2015b), Simulink simulation can be executed without saving changes on reference models. But in newer versions (I'm working on MATLAB 2019b), it will report an error and force me to save reference models before running a simulation. Is it possible to ignore this?
