Comparing three files to see what functions were used

1 view (last 30 days)
I have three mlapps that I need to clean up. They uses some of the same functions in both apps. My task is to figure out what functions are the same in each app, and put it in a single location so that we can manage future changes better.
Is there a good way to do this besides doing a file compare between them?

It is a really bad idea to move MATLAB provided functions around. This will cause problems. DON'T DO THAT.
If it is a question of moving your own functions around, that would be your choice.

I'm not sure it will work for your specific case, but the Dependency Analyzer sounds like it might be helpful.

Yes, that app is new in R2023a, but I believe much of the underlying funcionality has been around a while. Try a search for some of the key words, such as dependency MATLAB, and you can find some things. Maybe take a look at this older question/answer, too.
