Hi, asking for help on license error for fixed-point designer toolbox.
Picture above is the result of "ver" command in matlab command window.
As you can see, the toolbox is installed with the right version of matlab, 2022a.
I can also see in the add-on manager that it is installed.
However, matlab and simulink gives an error message saying I don't have the license for it.
I have tried reinstalling matlab, but it didn't work either.
Where can I get help for this kind of error?
Thanks.

In the License center, Fixed-Point Designer is in the list of licenses I have, so I definitly have the license for it.

Looking at that, I cannot be sure that you have Fixed-Point Designer associated with R2022a. The list entry on the list expires at the end of 2023, so it would have been associated with R2022b (probably with option to upgrade to R2023a).
When you renew a license then the old termination date disappears from the list, except in three circumstances that I can think of:
  • if you have multiple licenses and the Fixed-Point Designer toolbox is associated with some of them but not all of them; Or
  • If you permitted the Fixed-Point Designer license to expire and did not renew software support for it for four years, and then asked to re-license it, and Mathworks made you purchase a new license (instead of paying for the missed software maintanence, which is less expensive for up to 4 years owed); or
  • If you permitted the Fixed-Point Designer license to expire and did not renew software support for it, and when you asked to re-license it, Mathworks offered to allow you to just pay for the missed software maintenance but you declined and said you would prefer to purchase a new license.
I am an outside volunteer who does not have access to the license database, so I cannot check to see what licenses you have. You are probably going to need to contact Mathworks Support for this matter.
