Requesting theoretical support for interdigital capacitor function

I am working on modelling the signal chain of a sensor that uses this interdigital capacitor. The function is very well developed and wonderfully matches my measurements. However I need to do a tolerance analysis on the complete chain and I would like to know the theoretical calculation. My current theoretical calculations differ by 30% from measurements.

I would be greatly indebted if you could point me to any resources that will help me to perform the theoretical calculations accurately by myself for my student research work.

Do the reference books/papers in the References section of the documentation page for the interdigitalCapacitor function not include the theoretical basis behind the capacitor?

Unfortunately not enough. I have gone through these articles and could not find anything very contributing to my work. Only two explicitly speak of the capacitor. One of which is behind a paywall and the other only shows the image of one. The other two resources talk of other topics which might be related to it, but without accurage image of the core topic, its difficult to relate these additional details.
