Why am I getting an error when running this R2024a example in R2023b?

41 views (last 30 days)
I'm trying to run this example in R2023b. I'm looking for the "Area" data that is in the R2024a example and is not in the R2023b example.
The error occurs when calling this function:
function GT = contourDataGrid(latd,lond,data,levels,proj).
The error occurs in this command:
Area = area(Shape);
Error using area
Input arguments must be numeric, datetime, duration, or categorical.
I'm not noticing any command specific to R2024a that could not be used in R2023a.
Thanks for your help!

The area function was introduced in R2024a, according to the documentation.

Thank you! Looks like there are several area functions and now a new one!

As always, my pleasure!
I was surprised to find it, since I thought it was another, well-established, area function.
